Fuel pump died....what are my options to replace?

I am trying to sell an 84 318i and I went to start it today and it wouldn't fire up. Its not getting fuel to the fuel rail and I cant hear the pump prime....did the pump randomly die from sitting the past 2 months? How much is a new pump? Can I fix the current pump?

    Ps..... a 84 318i has a M10 right?

i dont know how the 84 tank is set up, but i do know for a fact that a 96 V6 Ford mustang pump WILL fit and work well in a 1990 325is

How can we figure that out? Another one of my cars is a 94 Mustang GT and I have the stock pump laying around. Should be the same pump

fuel pump relay is the black one that is near the airbox (black cover)

you have TWO fuel pumps; one high pressure inline on the driver side
the other is low pressure inside the tank.
