    intake backfiring??

    so i tried to start my car up. and backfires throught the intake ripping my intake boot and shoooting my air cone down the drive way!

    I had the same. Dose the car run? Mine was the timing.

      it ran before. i thought i had everything set right but it seems like its combusting when the intake valves are opening>??

                    definately timing related. CHeck your wires and make sure its correct, 1342

                      Deffenetly check the timing first, if its not that its time to take the heads off and make sure your valves are doing their part, sounds like fun GL!

                        i figured it out. it was the timing i needed to move the ditributor around a bit when turning over. now the idles wayy high like super crazy high

                          that would be vacuum leaks, faulty idle valve/module.
