    idling problems!

So i noticed today that my car idles around 1000rpm is that normal?
When it warm up all the way the idle gets jumpy, it goes from 1000 to 1500. and back and forth slowly.

Any ideas on what it might be?
And what a 84 m10 should idle at?

I would check the basics first, clean the ICV, check for intake leaks, set the valves, make sure the timing is set properly, and get caught up on basic tune up stuff (filters, plugs, cap, rotor, etc). Then I would take it onto the freeway and run the motor in a low enough gear to sustain 4000-4500 RPM for a couple of minutes. Give the motor a chance to breathe and clear some carbon. Also, a Seafoam treatment couldn't hurt. The motor should idle about 700-800 RPM warm.

and instead of sea foam use a 1/2 cup of water into the intake so it get into the engine. it will losen up all the carbon deposits through your engine. Its a old rat rod trick. did it to mine can tell the difference but sometimes it doesnt do anything

          cool. thanks guys.
I will probably do the seafoam stuff.

Any clue on how to change the o2 sensor? or how to check if its bad?
