    Extremely High Idle "3000rpm"

Finally got my bmw started today and i noticed that it idles very high. around 3000rpms. I thought it was because of the cold so I let it sit for a few mins but the idle didnt go down at all.
i adjusted the timing a bit and got the idle to come down to 2200rpms but i adjust it any farther it begins to misfire. Any ideas?

Check that your ICV is plugged in and functioning, also check the vacuum line coming from the FPR to the intake manifold to make sure that it is connected. My m10 had an issue with not wanting to rev past 5k as well as a high idle (not sure if it was as high as yours)...turned out it was just that vacuum leak at the FPR.

just developed this problem like 2days ago. first off it started off as rough idle & no cold start. i pulled my icv & cleaned it. my idle shot up too 2k. no vacuum leaks, new used afm blah blah.... i need to find my spare icv. will update if it solves anything
