So i just got a new fuel pump less that 2 months ago and it died. I replaced the existing one before it went out but it was screaming like it was nearly ready to seize and i'm certain it's a sensor but i'm not 100% which one. the names are so misleading as to which one has influence on the amount of fuel the pumps are meant to deliver.
I added a new pump, still screaming
I added a new fuel pump relay... till screaming
I checked both in take and main pump, both are fine.
lastly I just made a jumper and was able to manually jump from low pressure to high pressure...
I am guessing that it's a temp sensor of some sort but I can't figure out which one. even pelican parts has such a general description of the parts that i can't tell which one it is. I hooked up a air/fuel meter and i'm running very rich... check the vacuum to the pressure regulator, added a new hose. i'm not sure what to try next.
thanks for any help in advance. damn thing is starting to get expensive.
