    oil filter question

on a M10, stock filter is a Fram PH3816, 3/4x16 no anti drainback valve. I've got a K&N filter i was going to use, HP-1002 also 3/4x16 but it has an anti drain back valve.

Will this restrict oil too much, or should I just not worry about it and use it anyways?

Don't use a Fram. Since it doesn't have the valve, it causes pretty long dry start-ups...which is bad. The valve is a good thing. Also, for this time of the year (temperature), it's recommended to use 20w50 oil which will keep your oil pressure higher.

bumpers are tucked now. also repainted it a proper colour.

I ended up using the K&N, but went with a 5w40 oil. getting a little valve train noise, might drain and fill with 20w50

Yup! The m10 needs 20w50 for this temp. Minimum I would run is 15w40.
