    Hw to improve power?

I have a 2002 with twin 40mm Webbers and a 5 speed manual gearbox, im running 9.5:1 compression and would like more HP to be able to pull my incredibly long diff ratio.

I still want my drivablilty so im thinking a schrick cam a 292 degree.
    Any thoughts.

NO i'm not swapping or adding a turbo.

New diff. Not exactly more power, but more fun.

Not possible to have an incredibly long diff ratio in a 2002.

A 292 shrick should help things a bit. Do you have a nice quality header/exhaust?

Start with this, 2002 block (2.0L) with Tii (I believe) Piano Pistons

Then use a 318i head/intake manifold like this

And make sure it's loaded with a 292 or 304 cam, dual valve springs, mixed with full exhaust, and megasquirt, and boom, I would imagine a pretty stout setup

To repeat others - a (schrick or IE billet) 292 (with HD singles springs) or 304 cam ( with dual springs ) would liven things up on a street car. I think the 304 might be a little much, however there are lots of differing opinions on this.

Also consider an aluminum flywheel if your looking for quicker revs.

SOOO much to read/learn on that site. Helps out when nearly everyone on it has the m10, compared to here where we are the minority.
