Need some motor mount measurements. If you have any sitting around, please measure!

So, I have an M10 early 318 which, of course, has the infernally bad motor mount design ("v" profile). There's nothing aftermarket available that I can find so I'm trying to find another e30 (or anything else) mount that would work. Something that would be similar/same height obviously.

I haven't seen any other M10 people who have found something else that works, but if you have, chime in.

Anyhow, if you happen to have an e30 (or other) motor mount that you haven't installed yet, would greatly appreciate it if you could:

    1. measure the thickness of the mount itself (the rubber/poly section) vertically.
    2. measure the diameter of the mount.
    3. measure the length of the studs coming out of the top and bottom
    4. note if the studs are offset from each other, or if they are in a straight line.

    Thanks in advance!

And you can save the "just do an engine swap" comments, lol. That won't be for a year or two.

Im not sure this would apply, im still new to BMW's and ive never seen a M10 mount.

On the other hand, i know big block mopars like the back of my hand...

This is what we do to our stock motor mounts if we want to avoid them pulling apart while not switching to solid mounts.

Im not sure if it will be of any help, but if you can do something similar to an M10 mount, youll be good.

damn....I didn't want this moved to the M10 forum because then only the M10 guys will see it (and I need non-M10 guys to do the measurements for me!).

FLG< thanks for the link. I have considered doing a urethane fill or just fabbing something up, but looking for the easy solution first!

I hear people will fiberglass around the mount to help it out. not sure how that would hold up though.
