    M10 Intake Manifold Hoses

    Hi Guys,

Have just signed up to this board. Been a member over on bimmersport.co.nz for some time but have come across an issue on my M10 that needs a wider audience to figure out what is happening.
Have come across these pipes that have been blocked off. There was another vacuum line that had the same thing done to it but I sorted out where that went.

Car is a 1985 318i Coupe Auto Jap import.

    Issue #1
This pipe leads to a dead end and I cannot figure out where it is supposed to go.

RealOEM has the exploded view of my throttle assembly but doesn't show these two hoses. They are attached on the hidden side of the exploded view.

    Issue #2
These two pipes should split and join back up again.

    Like in the exploded view.

But someone has blocked one off and looks like the splitter valve (Labelled: "Reducer" #11631707723) is damaged.

Also when I put my VIN into realoem it says that none of the fuel injection options apply. I have also been told by a Euro parts supplier that the reducer part number I gave him is for LHD only (mine is RHD). What is up with that?
Just want to make sure I have got this right as I will order a new "Reducer" and put that back together.

    Issue #3
An extra plug up the front by the air intake is not connected to anything and there is nowhere for it to be connected. Is there and extra something that is missing? It is on the same piece of wire as the plug that is in the air intake (I am guessing air temp sensor). The airflow meter has it's plug.

Sorry for the long and involved post with picture overkill just want to see if I can right these wrongs.
Many thanks in advance to anyone that may be able to help.

The of the two hoses coming right off of the throttle body, the larger hose should go to the charcoal canister and the smaller should go to the vacuum advance control on the firewall. If not there, then the fuel pressure regulator.

The plug you're showing looks like it goes to the barometric pressure sensor which is located on the air box. It's kinda hidden, and it plugs in from underneath.

Awesome. So the previous owner has removed the charcoal canister. I am assuming that means there is a blocked fuel vent hose somewhere...

Also there doesn't seem to be another plug under the air box (I assume you mean the box in which the air filter is located?). Just the plug on the airflow meter and another round plug on pipe on the upwind side of the air filter.

Maybe I shouldn't dig too far and leave the car as is? It runs fine but I am under the impression I will get better fuel consumption if I fix these issues. As you would of guessed since it is an auto and an M10 I'm not looking for s screamer.

I broke that reducer in the intake elbow. Haven't been able to reconnect so left it as is. Car runs fine besides my million other issues, but didn't seem to effect performance. Il fix it sooner or later but it runs. I got a bigger throttle body I want to rig up also. That pretty much all I can do on the e30.

Just got the replacement reducer part and hooked it up. Started up and runs fine doesn't seem to have made any difference but my picky mind is more at ease now.
