    My boosted m10 project.

Alrite so I got an 84 318i off of my buddy yesterday and I'm going to strip and rebuild the whole damn thing lol. It has an m10 pretty much takin apart already and the problem with the motor was a slung rod. I'm new to the m10 but seems just as simple if not simpler than an m20 so I'm ready for it. I also have a precision 6262 turbo which is huge! But maybe it'll work? I just want to see some suggestions and hear of some experiences with other m10 rebuilds! Alrite thanks. And I'll add some pics of the car in a couple hours!

It's simpler than an m20. Grab a 2 liter crank/pistons or a s14 crank (and other things needed to make it work). Build up the top end to support more power (double valve springs mainly) and throw a ton of boost at it (with Megasquirt). There are a few builds on here and e30tech you can read from

Yea I've been reading around, it's going to be a fun build. Mainly tearing it down now and accumulating parts. I'm more than likely going the s14 crank route.

Great! Stick with the m10 turbo and don't listen to the people that will tell you to do an engine swap.
