    ICV delete opinions and "caps"

In the process of cleaning up the bay and removing some unneeded plumbing. Wanted to get your guys opinions and experiences on the ICV delete and what you used to cap off the ports. I've read mixed reviews but more seems to have a positive result after ICV removal.

The hose running to the bottom of the motor from the ICV used to plug into a T so plan on getting a 90 degree elbow to eliminate the open barb/port.

As far as the port/nipple on the manifold goes, I plan on getting a 2 inch piece of hose and sealing one side shut with epoxy. Think that's gonna work?

Also, is it alright then leave the connector unplugged or is some modification needed?

well since the m10 portion of the forum seems pretty idle, i guess ill just keep logging my gatherings here with hopes that someone stumbles upon it via google search or something :)

While still thinking on how to best remove the ICV, I bypassed the electric aux vac valve and ran the vac line straight from the intake mani to the vac advance on the dizzy. Car drives much smoother now.

I found big vac kinda caps in the help section at my local auto zone when I deleted the icv on my turbo m20

Well last night I was looking at the vac plumbing and realized that if the ICV is removed, the entire thick vac hose plumbing can be removed. Two ports to cap off are: intake elbow and intake mani. Then set idle via tb screw

Should be possible on the m42 also if it has a ICV. When I get to my phone, ill post pics of plumbing I removed. It's a good chunk and it eliminated a number of potential vac leaks. I had cracks on my hoses. Car runs like a champ now

So the ecu doesn't get pissed by the lack of an icv? I guess its pretty dumb anyway so it wouldn't matter haha

I dont think it reports any parameters back to the ecu. It just opens and shuts. At least that my understanding. I saw great improvement!

The hose in the bottom left corner on image above was plugged into intake mani. The top left hose was blocked off. The icv connected to the intake mani.

Could have been leaking vac, who knows
