Miss or stutter at 1800 RPM, kinda bogs too.

85 318i, manual, passed smog, new small vacuum lines, new intake boot. Needs an oil pan gasket (crank case pressure isn't what it should be.)

I get a little miss or stutter at 1800 rpm while accelerating. I've checked cap, rotor, wires, and everything is tight, no cracks. It only happens maybe twice a day.

Also, before it's warmed up it bogs down a little if I go above 2500 RPM or so. After it's warm it doesn't bog.

    Any ideas?

    Thanks -Kevin

Maybe a flat spot in the afm potentiometer?

Also how do the spark plugs look?

Heya, I haven't had time to work on it, so I don't know whats up yet. I still need to do the oil pan gasket and adjust the valves, and I'll check the spark plugs and TPS too. Thanks!

Did the oil pan gasket, seems to not idle surge as much, and doesn't rev to 3k on startup. Bogs a little less when cold, the rest still there.
