What is this part?

Hi Guys,

Having trouble finding a part and need your help. Please see the attached photo.

It is linked to a small pipe from the T join before the ICV and links to the reducer coming from the Intake Boot.

One of the plastic fittings has snapped off. What is it?

I've never seen it, maybe it wasn't a USA part. But if it's connected to the tubing for the ICV it could be something like a fast idle solenoid or maybe something emissions related. Does your car have an EGR system? I don't think US cars did.

So its an Australian M10 1986 engine. Im not sure what an EGR is?

Thanks mate! Was doubting that this was it as it is EFI apparently but Real OEM labels it as Carbs. Cheers

My 323i M20 has it as well. What does it do? I think that many euro models don't even have it, so its region specific. I would like to cleanly bypass it as shown in the second picture.
