m10 will start but cuts out right away

hi guys long time reader first time poster

i had a problem yesterday driving home from work
i heard a loud bang in the engine bay and the car started losing power then i heard another one and the car only went up to 40km/h on full throttle then it died on me.

Now i towed it home but it will start it turns for a second or 2 then it dies.

i have spark on all the 4 cilinders fuel pump is ok i can hear it at start up.

it's a 318 auto from 1985 with lpg conversion but the car has it on lpg and on normal gas so i think fueling is ok

also when i start it now and give full throttle the engine backfires into the aircleaner....before dieing

Try a compression test, in case you blew your head gasket etc.
if that's good check to see if you have good fuel pressure.
