UPDATE:
After many late nights and early morning with the wife and 2 young children I was able to start, idle, heat and re torque basically everything. Checked. Double checked and loaded on the trailer.
Made it to the dyno apt for 9 am yesterday.
Initial 3 runs had me flattened. Crush washer for turbo feed wasn't there.... Smoke everywhere. Tuner corrected. Luckily he is a patient man with a heart for Audi and bmw.
4th run turbo still billowing smoke. ??? Turbo blanket had soaked up excess oil and finally had enough.
End of 4th run tuner pulls me aside and says relax.... Shit happens. Let's keep working.
By the end of the 5th or 6th run car is maintaining temp and whistling pretty hard. Very light smoke on decel and none under boost or idle.
Ended up at a conservative 308hp 310tq at 10psi.
Took the car out for a lap through town today before rain moves in. Pleased with the manners. Feels responsive.... Lol enough to turn heads haha
The only issues I have are my lack of icv for cold starts and I have a whisp of something from the valve cover exit. I have not hooked up the catch can and it is straight to atmosphere.
Anything to note about this? Thinking about venturi to exhaust? Post o2 of course.
Should I be concerned? Normal m20 turbo issue?
