85 325e DME not getting power

I’ve been putting together a 85 325e that had an engine fire and I’m having some problems with the dme. It was a small engine fire that mostly just burnt some of the wiring harness and the internal temp never got that hot. I’ve replaced the wiring harness and now I’m trying to get it to start. I have no spark. Ive been testing DME inputs and trying to figure out my problem. According to the Bentley manual I should be getting roughly battery power when I measure the voltage at pin 18 and 35 when touched to a ground. Ive been getting no power. Where does the voltage come from and what can I do.

Get your wiring diagram here: http://wedophones.com/Manuals/BMW/

Get a good multi meter and start checking wires. After a fire god know what got too hot.
