    No start help

I have an 88 325i that I daily which was all good until recently. It overheated on the highway in which I drove about 1/2-1 mile in order to stop safely and get it towed. Once home it no longer turned on but cranked, although the cranking sounded very odd and not like it wanted to start. I checked the basics, fully charged battery, received fuel, had spark, cps was good, but compression on all cylinders was 0. Seeing it was probably a good time to overhaul the belts and pumps, I decided to remove the head and I definitely blew a head gasket, but my timing belt seemed perfectly fine. Will a blown head gasket really cause a no start and no compression or am I missing something? Spark plugs were also soaked in oil.

No compression on all cylinders is kind of suspicious. A head gasket cylinder usually blows between 2 cylinders. If the head gasket blew from overheating you'll need to get the head resurfaced.

How did you check it had fuel and spark?

0 on all cylinders? sounds like a faulty gauge on the tool you're using.
