I had the head resurfaced and flywheel lightened and balanced. I finally got my engine flooding prob fixed 90 325i. Thanx guys it was a clogged fuel return line I think. Now it runs rough, sputters when you give it throttle and it smokes. The smoke is white and just smells like carbon. I have new plugs in the mail and my ICV isn't plugged in the harness wont reach. I have to rerun the wiring. I can't figure out why it is smokeingand sputtering now. Next week I am going to take my friends 325i and start swapping parts to narrow this down. Any ideas??

White smoke from the exhaust is either ordinary condensation or vaporized coolant. Condensation should stop once the engine reaches normal operating temperature except in very cold ambients. Condensation is more gray than vaporized coolant and quickly dissipates. Coolant is very white and tends to remain in the air, making it easy to tell the difference between the two.
Coolant leaking into a cylinder(s) could explain the white smoke and misfires. The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yes the gasket is new and was torqued then to yield twice like the bentley says. I will put new plugs in when they come in the mail and my plug wires are mis matched right now since a friend borrowed them when it was tore down and I wasn't around and lives an hour away. I'm not buying wires new since I have a MS unit almost done.Originally posted by NicademusMy car beats off to that car.

No he got it right, he's just saying it weird.I'm Not Right in the Head | Random Rants and other Nonsense1st Order Logic Failure: Association fallacy, this type of fallacy can be expressed as (∃x ∈ S : φ(x)) → (∀x ∈ S : φ(x)), meaning "if there exists any x in the set S so that a property φ is true for x, then for all x in S the property φ must be true".
