Howdy!
I've been reading many forums and keep running into roadblocks. Apologies if this is a simple fix and has been asked many times.
My 325e was originally sold to me without a working rpm gauge, eco gauge, fuel gauge and temp gauge. Motometer cluster. OBC did not work, its VDO.
I've gone ahead and multi-metered C1,C2,C3 harness pinouts and it "passed" the bentley volts chart test. (unless I am using the wrong book)
I have replaced my crank reference and speed sensors. 960 Ohms readings. (for fun I swapped the Grey/Black plugs and ofc the car will not roll over.. but cranks endlessly so I swapped back and car will run)
I decided to install a VDO cluster, immediately got fuel gauge to respond, temp is twitching. STILL no tach or eco. OBC now works.
I got 3.22v readings for the Si batteries on BOTH clusters.
C101 does NOT have Pin 9. So I cannot tap into that for tach..
My ECU under the glovebox does NOT have Pin 21 for tach, yet I see this possible "C104" split? Car will NOT start without it plugged in so I assume Black is RPM, Yellow is Ignition, Green/Red something else lol
The VDO cluster was tested before purchase and works.. does anyone know what wire diagram I have for c101? Would I need to cut the black wire from c104 and jump into somewhere else for tach?
