    Problem...

Hey, i bought this e30 323i on the weekend which has been sitting in a garage for 4 years untouched!. So i drive it back to the workshop and changed the spark plus, leads, oil, oil filter, timing, new 98 octane fuel and a tune up. The car drove a lot better than when i first got it but the car still lags. The car feels like it has no acceleration, it just has torque. Would anyone know what the problem is??

Your help would be pretty much appreciated.

    Best Regards

Did you replace the fuel and air filters too? What about the cap and rotor? All of those are part of a good tune up too and could cause similar symptoms.

Hi, air has only been changed. Not the cap, rotor and fuel filter. Would the injectors be shot if the car has been sitting for 4 years without being started?

Yes, they could be. But your fuel filter is even more likely to be dead. I'd start with that, then move on to cap + rotor, and if not that then have your injectors cleaned.

you can also drain the fuel tank directly to make sure you get all that old crap out, then replace the fuel filter for good measure.

you can drain the tank via the drain plug ont he passenger side, its an allen key that has been painted over
