I just got my m20 325i up and running and it is hard to start. After cranking a while it starts, run for about a minute and a half then dies. I have pulled the intake boot to clean the afm twice and noticed there was fuel pooling in there. The car will run, it will not idle. I just replaced the head and am not too familiar with diagnosing problems on this car yet, it is my first E30. It almost seems like the fuel filter is clogged but After cranking a while it runs, then dies a minute later.

Pull the vacuum hose from the FPR and see if it has gas in it.
Or possibly a stuck injector, pull the plugs and seeing if one is fuel soaked.
Edit: Thinking about the manifold design I don't think fuel from a stuck injector could make it there...Last edited by whodwho; 05-16-2009, 04:44 PM.
