I'm changinbg the head weekend after next on my B25. I'm planning on running the ebay turbo (flame away lol) t4 hybrid on 8-10 psi. Any suggestions for headgaskets or studs? Will OEM gasket and spec torque suffice for that small ammount of boost? Thanks

Been looking at them myself but I have heard that the kit is pretty generic. Dont take my word, like I said, just heresay, you will have to cut and fit the piping, it doesnt include injectors, Ive actually heard that the exhaust manifold broke on somebody just trying to install the thing. Are you going to be running stock fuel system? Upgrading the injectors? RRFPR? Or are you just going to install the kit and hope for the best?
I have heard the ARP studs are unbeatable, but who hasnt? The ?metric blue? one sI have not heard much about, other than ARP ones are better, but that was only from one source. I am still pretty new to E30's anyway, if you havent noticed my thread, but I am NOT new to german machines!Comment

Stock gasket should be ok on low boost, but I'd recommend getting studs or at least metric blues now since you will probably go through several gaskets while you are learning/using ghetto setups.

Thanks, I came across this shortly after posting up here. Looks like the "other" place has some good turbo stuff. I think the metric blue attack is a band wagon conspiracy to be honest. You're talking alot of extra paper for thick HG and heavy duty studs, obviously worth it though. I was debating on a TCD mani and Hlset turbo and get the rest of the ebay kit stuff. Perhaps just reach out to the vendor and see if they will cut me a deal minus turbo and mani. A custom down pipe wouldn't cost a hell of a lot either. I wont start turbo project until february when I get my bonus. In the mean time I will get the head rebuilt and the transmission swapped over. Going with TCD clutch kit. I'll keep the updates flowing.Comment
