OMG- Mega help section- m20b27 into a 318is car....

    hey boys,
So i got a rusted 325es that needs a breath of fresh life, and luckily i found a 318is (1991) to take the plant and tranny, now this is where it gets moderatly complicated, i need to know what i have to transfer from the old car, to the new car.
The new one is manual, like the old..
this is what i assume I need to transfer,
A: running gear: tranny, diff., engine(everything), rad(?), Ecu, and the harness.

What do I need to do otherwise to make the frame accept it:

Like, do I have to worry about the new cars internal wiring? like the dash lights, domes, warnings, heads up display?, sensors other then the engine related? speed sensor, battery, suspension?,
Basicly, whats different on the newer gen. then the e30 i have?
Will the pumps and accesories mix? like say the power steering pump with the rack in the car?
    Engine mounts?
    any help will help,
if you have nay questions, hit me up
    mike

There should be plenty of write ups on this topic if you use the search feature. I am new to E30's so I dont know much about this topic, but if I were you, I would change over everything. The chassis' should be the same and all parts "should" swap right over. If you are mechanically inclined to do a motor swap, which I am assuming you are, swapping everything shouldnt be an issue.

Although my experience is just with transplanting a 90-91 engine harness into 87 325is, the same may apply to this transplat. Later E30's (those built from 9/97 onwards) routed the tach and DME start signal via C101, where earlier cars routed those via pigtails off the engine harness. And later cars have have an unloader relay that isn't present on earlier cars. Those are the only differences that I'm aare of w/respect to the engine harness. Since this is going into a 318, you'll also need to swap out the cluster coding plug for one from a six cylinder car. Depending on its production date, you might be able to get that from 325es.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

1986 is the procution date, what is this "cluster coding plug"?
I plan on taking the ecu from the 325es, so i don't have to worry about above mentioned c101 pin, do I?
I thought more about the wiring from cpu to dash, etc...
I will be putting in the old dash, so as to keep the proper tach and junk,...
