    e and i

i know its been coverd but i keep getting confused with all the different combos. i have a good running 2.7 and an 87is with a bad motor. the IS is a project and the es has a mess of electrical problems, can i put the i head on the e block into the 87 is? would all the electrical be plug and play? i know search search search but i wanna know spacificly if this will work. thanks

It'll work if you use everything from the "i", plus the block from the "e"

it will have less power than an "i", tho

when you say that the 87is has a "bad" motor, what is wrong with it?

just swap the block from the e to the i and use all the i top end and electronics , have the head shaved and it will be fine.

Just take the siezed block, hit the pistons with a wedge and sledgehammer until they cave in, and then hit it with some WD40 to free it. Caved in pistons=greater displacement, something around 5.7 gallons. Should make around 900 horsepower.
