    'i' AFM on an eta

Can you run an 'i' or 'is' AFM on an eta? I have an 84 eta and I changed the AFM to one off a 325i. Now it doesn't run so good. It didn't run well before, but now it's worse. Will the computer reset or get used to it, or is it just a no go on the 'i' AFM on an eta.

In short, the answer to your question is no. The eta's ECU (Motronic 1.0) is non-adaptive, in that it will not adjust for the new AFM. Unless you plan on converting the rest of the injection electronics to Motronic 1.3 from the "i", I would put your old eta AFM back on.

Yeah thanks, that's what I thought. I've collected just about everything for a 2.7i swap and thought I would just throw the AFM on there since the connector was the same. Nope. Alright, I'll just wait until I get the harness from the i in there.
