    Oil pressure switch wiring

I have a 1986 325e. The oil pressure light was coming on and off. I found the sensor was broken off, so I replaced it, but now I cant find the wire that goes to it. I thought it was a brown wire that was broken by the valve cover, but I think that was just a ground.

Where does this wire go and come from on a 325e? I am fine with running a new wire and just splicing it in, but I cant find which one it was or where it comes from. Engine harness or body harness.

I replaced #3 in the photo. Thats the wire I cant find.

It should run up near the front of the engine IIRC. It should be quite obvious...if it's still there.

I just checked on my 87 and its the single black wire coming out of the harness where the coolant sencers are. It then goes down in front of the valve cover and snakes its way through to the switch on the block.
