    M20 Starter Replacement

I can't find the thread on starter replacement. I can barely see the damn thing its so buried. If I could see it, I can fix it. Is it torx head bolts?
Do they have nuts or are they threaded into the tranny? I need a few "tips" to pull this off. Book says remove intake or tranny. Not sure thats needed.
    thnx

you should remove the air intake (not the manifold)

the bolts are female torx (e12 or e14, I think?), and are backed by 17mm bolts on the "front" side

the bolts are a PITA to get to, for sure
