So.. New crank sensor.. no start <wtf official forum>?

Hey buhuhddies (a la poly shore)
I had a bad sensor for my engine position (cranksensor) so I swaped in a new one, the problem was my connector too was f'd on the cpu side, so I spliced a new connector in (male and female) now that has come apart..
I would like to know If i resplice it and soter it (if that is indeed How one would spell sodder) would that screw with the signal to the ecu?
tanx a mill for the answer

You can buy a complete stock harness if you want. Soldering won't mess with the ECU, it's heat, not a current. You'll be fine.
