I took all the fuses and relays out and clean(scrub) them with a blade. So far so good, the engine hasn't been cut off since then.
Engine dies while driving.....

Ok that didn't fix the problem. The car died on me on the hwy today in the passing lane. That was very scary.I got a jump from a good fella and i was able to proceed on my way but after another 30 minutes of driving the engine just died again. That time i was already in brooklyn so i called a good friend who came to my rescue. After several unsuccessful attempts to jump-start it,it finally started but once i removed the jumper cable the engine died again.I jumpstarted it again and it started fine and drove it for another 15 minutes of a 20 minutes remaining time until i reach my final destination which is my mom's house. My friend had to follow me just in case it died again wich it did in the middle of the road blocking everybody behind.Another jumpstart and i was able to reach my destination.
Right after i park the damn thing dies again. Now it sits there and my friend drove me home. That was a big humiliation because i should not have been in that situation because i have a very good e46 330i sitting at home and getting stranded in a old pos car.
I'm just gonna part the f^cking shit out.I don't care if it's just an alternator problem or i'll just sell it.I have mad love for the car, except that problem runs fine and everything works on it.I'm about to buy a honda crv for my wife and i find it unreasonable to spend money on the e30 now.
The shocks are blown, the rtab's are shot.Even though i already bought a bunch of parts to correct the few bads but i have to move on.Last edited by E30QUEST; 07-03-2009, 05:03 PM.Comment

Its' a m20b27 or m20b25, as i own a 2.7, I had the same bloody shit happening to me, I brought it to school, swapped out the bad reference sensor, or cranksensor, its' on the bellhousing, simple shit to do, then the battery went, and now I know I need a bloody fuel filter, but the symptoms you have, are exactly that of a bad refenrence sensor, or engine speed sensor, chances are one or the other...
Any other logical reasons, people?Comment
