    Cylinder 3 oil leaking...

The car was misfiring, pulled the plugs to find that the spark plug in number 3 was completely gummed up. So now my question is, what is more often to leak in our cars, rings or headgasket/valve seals?

I'm figuring its something in the head, because when I went to start the car when the motor was still warm it blew out blue smoke again.

    Anybody have any input? Thanks.

run a compression check (dry/wet) to determine the condition of the rings

I was thinking of doing a leak down test, but I need to get the tool for that to see if it's the head or the rings. I didn't think a compression test would do all that much for me except tell me which cylinder was a problem cylinder.
