I am converting my car with the 323i euro head (731) and have ran into a problem. On the 323i head, there is no place for the rotor on the end of the camshaft(they had a seperate distributor-L jet). THe hole is there but instead of a straight hole like the ETA cam has, the 323i head has a taper. It looks like it will match the end of the ETA cam will some drilling(to remove the taper). Am I correct in assuming this should be all I need to do? Everything else matches up.
The help would be greatly appreciated.
After some futher reading, would I be better off putting a 325i cam in the 731 head???
