Oil level light keeps on blinking!

I just did my oil change today and about an hour later I started the car and the oil light started blinking.I checked the level of the oil and everything is fine. What is wrong with my car? Broken oil level sensor? If it is broken, how easy it is the change replace it? Is the a DIY for this? Thanks guys

They tend to get gummed up at times. There's a ball in there and it may be stuck on some sludge. There may be a DIY on here somewhere, check out our "newly" installed search function.

You might want to pull it and try cleaning it with brake cleaner...IIRC, is what people use to do so.

It probably will go off in a while, once it turns on it stays on for a while even if you fill it.

Yea I just changed my oil and drained my coolant(for clutch fan) my coolant level light would come on, it ended up being loose, if thats the case with them just add some aluminum foil to tighten it. Also did you add any oil additives? if so it may be cleaning shit out and getting hung on your sensor causing a misread, i don't think its out, but if it is that is an easy fix. leave it a few days if its not off check your wires and take it out and wipe it off or what not.
