    TERRIBLE mpg

Hey yall i dunno where to start but to say that my 84 325e is getting shitty shitty gas mileage. what could be some causes of this? my console says 13.5liters when i hit the avg mpg button. This is just bad? and the car seems to run super rich when starting

Check the cold start valve and the time temperature switch that operates the valve. A leaking valve or one that is on all the time are common causes of a ETA running rich. If those are okay run the suite of fuel system tests. And on a car of this age, the ignition wires could be bad and causing partial misfires.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

Yep check your wires/cap/button/plugs make sure they are all good. Replace the fuel filter, and your O2s if possible.

Don't overlook the "Paper Choke". And when I first tuned my eta I used Platinums, they didn't work so hot for me. Try and get the plain style plugs.
