Fuel pump audible?

Should I be able to hear the fuel pump when the car is in the on position but not running? Where is it located?

Yes, unless it sounds irratic. Its under the pass side of the back seat. Pop the seat up and its underneath the black hatch with 4 screws. Phillips head.

If its a early model there is a primary pump on the drivers side under the car. Near where the Fuel filter is.

The fuel pump only runs when the DME sees timing data from a rotating engine. So you won't hear the pump when the ignition is on and the engine isn't running (or being cranked over).
