About to wrap up a top end job. Do not remember exactly orientation of the fan and fan clutch. Which side of the fan faces forward and which side of the fan does the clutch attach to. Does the part number on the blade face forward or backwards. Does the fan clutch mount on the rear or the front of the fan. Ugh!

This car has been driven for over 2,000 miles without the fan hitting anything since I changed out the timing belt and coolant pump. The fan's part number is visible on the top blade in the picture. Below it you can see what strad was saying about the bulk of the fan clutch mounting toward the rear. If you mess up, you would find the fan hitting the black plastic shroud covering the distributor cap.
Another useful item is the black hose clamp securing the radiator hose to the lifting bracket behind the upper timing belt cover. Again this prevents the fan from striking this hose.
