    Intermittent injector 1,3,5 failure?

Bought a car with problems. Just did a top end job. sometimes there is a very hard start with rough running. Bought a Peake under hood code reader. When running rough code reader indicates injector 1,3,5 as the problem code. I can disconnect the battery and wait a few. When I reconnect the battery it then runs OK and reader shows no faults. Any ideas. Is it the ECU.

Probably a flaky C191 connection. It's a seven pin round connector near the fuel injector rail, and carries the DME ground signal to each injector. Try to duplicate the rough running by jiggling the connector and see if there's any overlap between you jiggling it and the engine running rough.

      Intermittent injector failure.

I was thinking along those lines. Is this the connector that sits below the intake center of the block. Do you know where the actually ground is. Thanks.

Yes. Injectors 1,3 and 5 are grounded through pin 6 on that connector.
