    Start but flooding/wont run.

I know this has been gone over hundreds of times but ive been at this for a while(E30s that is) and am stumped:

Car turns over, sort of starts with heavy stumbling and will more or less stay on with foot on gas.... Seems to be too much fuel but not really at the same time...

    Not the:
    AFM
    Relays
    Coil
    Fuel Pump
    FPR
    Plugs
    ECU
    No vac leaks...

I will be checking the dizzy and rotor soon but those wouldnt cause this(unless their not there)

    :dunno

    Thanks!!!!!

No vacuum leaks at all? I had the same symptoms, and it was the intake manifold gaskets.

I've never seen a case where the temp sensor prevented the engine from starting, though a bad temp sensor will make the engine run poorly.

I'd say that one or more of the items you claim are okay are the cause of this. For starters I'd run the fuel system test suite documented in the Bentley manual and smoke test the intake to check for leaks.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

coolant temp sensor wouldnt cause no start AFAIK. It would just leave the car in cold start mode and run bad or warm mode and make it hard to start

i havent thoroughly checked for vac leaks but i dont think even the most severe would cause this.... But i will def check.

Vacuum leaks will do alot more than you think! Check them! I had a very small one that gave me lots of grief till it was fixed.

This is the truth. i had a leak on one of my intake gaskets, and the car would not stay on unless i had it in nuetral r3ving it. so sitting at lights i appeared to be a ricer.. haha.
