    m2 swap ????

I am pulling my old m20 and notice that I can not get a socket on the drive shaft conecting to the tranny. Due to a weld. Then i looked at leaving my tranny in and just pulling the motor. I can get 3 of the 4 bults out and the 4th will hit the fire wall. what is the best way for pulling a m20 motor?

I prefer to pull the engine and transmission as a unit. But some folks like to pull just the engine. To get all of the bell housing bolts off disconnect the motor mount, hand the engine from the hoist and lift the front a few inches. With the transmission cross member removed, the transmission will sag enough to gain access to the top bolts.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.

id remove the transmission along with the motor. but if you want to remove only the engine you have to unbolt the transmission from the body and allow it to drop some. then youll need about 3 ft of extensions and youll be going from behind and above the transmission to reach them. and when putting them back in electrical tape is your friend.
