engine stalls when i push in clutch

when i am coming to a stop sign or stop light. i let off the gas and push in the clutch somtimes the engine will stall and die. if i let the RPM go down to about 1500-1200 then push in the clutch it will not stall

i am thinking its the idle air control valve

has anyone run into this issue before?

Look for a huge or hidden crack. Look at the intake boot pretty close. There are a good amt of those hoses on the m20. Some ppl try and find leaks w/ wd40 or something but I've never used methods like that. I've always had good luck just looking at them.
