Fuel pump probs.....

So i just got finished putting on a new intake manifold gasket and go to start it up and the only thing that is making noise is the fuel pump and its a loud clicking.......

When putting the fuel lines and tubes back on is there any certain prep i should have taken care of and any one got any clue what that loud clicking noise from the started could have been.?

If all that you hear is clicking when you turn the key to start, I'd suspect a run down battery.
