    Oil Filter Housing Question

My oil filter is resting on the engine support bracket. This makes oil changes a supreme bitch as the oil filter is much harder to spin. I'm assuming that i need to loosen the 17mm screw and realign the oil filter housing. Does that sound about right? Is there a gasket behind the oil filter housing? How hard is all of this to do? Any thing else i should do while i'm in the area?

yeah, it should be parallel to the ground, but even then it's a bitch. Very easy, loosen 17m just a little, rotate and tighten. There's no gasket, just a crush-washer, which will be fine.

There's an O-ring which seals the housing to the block, and an Oring on the hollow 17mm bolt. You can even flip the housing 180 if you wanted to.
