    oil loss

I have 87 325is 138k on it. Im losing oil fast , with no puddles or smoke. I notced white smoke came from the oil filler cap when i took it off. BUt again no puddles or smoke in exhaust unless i really floor it hard. The bottom front of the motor is a little wet too. Idk where my oil is going!! help!?!?!?!?

Check coolant - may be escaping into there. I know before I did my motor my friend saw my car burn oil on statup - sign of bad valve stem seals, as the oil leaks past when not in use. So, this could be too (it wouldn't eat that much oil though)

Also make sure you are using the correct weight oil, 15w-50. It is pretty heavy so it should help decrease oil consumption.

Umm...no such thing on our cars.

OP, what type of mileage are you putting on per week? I've noticed sustained high rpms will cause these engines to suck oil into the intake and burn it.
