    tell me why it ran fine today. strong for about 3 miles. i take it around the block 5 or so times then about a 2 miles to my friends house. he gets in and i start to back out and when i go to shift back into first it cuts out! anyone have any idea what the hell is wrong?!

      Sounds to me like a bad cam sensor or temp sensor. You also could just have some corrosion on the respective connections. Have you established a good clean ground from the batt to the frame and checked the other ground points? Have you cleaned out your ICV recently?

        yes i have good ground and they are in the right spots and hooked up. but more WTF moments today, noticed the coolent was low so i started to pour more in and noticed it was pouring out under the car. no hoses are leaking. kinda looks like a crack in the water pump but its hard to tell.

          talked to the shop today. guy kinda talked to me like i was dumb and said the car wasn't worth even bringing in. said i should go buy a better bmw, at this i lol'd. but still the car isn't running right and im starting to need it.

            could the light inside the glove box be at all the problem? the hookup goes into the harness and I had it unplugged because I couldn't get the light off and it was draining the battery. but yesterday when i hooked it up the car seemed fine, no shaky idel, no getting stuck on 3k. I didn't want to play with it to much becasue the waterpump is leaking, but i pulled it forward in the driveway and it seemed good with power as well.
