I am replacing my m20b27 for another one that runs a lot better, before dropping it in I am trying to restore it as best I can without spending over $100.
Here's what I've done so far:
1.Cleaned/polished/painted engine components (valve cover, manifold, thermostat housing).
2.Cleaned spark plug wires & radiatior hoses with wesley's bleach white
3.Cleaning all electrical connectors with QD Electronic cleaner
I still need to clean my injectors, they work fine but they are just very dirty. No local shop cleans and tests injectors & I really don't want to pay $90 to send mine off.
What is the best cheapest way to clean the injectors? Can I just soak them in Carb Cleaner or Seafoam? I really just want to clean them up a bit while I have them out.
Anyone on the forum do injector servicing?
Is there anything else I can do while I have the engine apart and out in the open? Looking for really simple stuff to do, I'm not looking to rebuild the engine or anything.
