Oil leak near the drain plug

I have a small oil leak and have very hard time finding the source.
It originally looked like it was the drain plug leaking, so i replaced it with anew one with new copper gasket.
The leak is still there. Is there any common leak spots that would leak down the drain plug and make it look like it is the drain plug leaking.

I am getting really frustrated trying to track it down.

Hmm thanks, will check the gasket and the sensor, the pan looks clean, no dings

My oil drain plug leaks about a drop per day because it was helicoiled by the previous owner (which I did not realize until I had the pan off to replace the gasket) and isn't a 100% perfect seal. New copper washers didn't fix it either. Take a look and see if that could be the problem.

Otherwise I'd guess it's probably a slow seep at the gasket that collects at the bottom of the drain plug.

Okay, one thing to mention, car leaks oil even if it sits on a flat ground and is not running. I guess I will start off with replacing the oil pan gasket, as I wanted to put new engine mounts in anyway.
when jacking up the motor, should I also disconnect the tranny mounts?
