mating a 2.5 head to the 2.7 bottom end

so i've decided to squeeze some juice from my eta by buying a 325is as a donor for the parts i need to get the head and revs. out of it, but i needed to know whta parts i need from what new,?, I was looking at refreshing the head by a local out here, but do i get the gasket kit from a 2.5 or a 2.7? theres' something about additional oil passages, and also will a header from ebay fit into a 2.5 head as well as a 2.7., they always say it fits 323, 325i, etc, but never an E>? so whats the dealio therE?
and do i need to pull the bellhousing off of the Is, or will the engine speed sensor and engine position sensors work for both ecu?

        Regular eta or Seta?

Typically, you need the HG from the "i" (which I think is actually the same).

I have a HUGE thread with some swap info being compiled, but it is geared toward the Seta.

If you plan to go 2.7i in the future, why not go ahead and swap the 885 head in to go with the valve springs now?

That way, you will have already pulled the head and HG can be replced. no need to do it 2x.

I have found ALL of my parts, including the gaskets- for about $350. If I was running a non-S eta, I'd be lookin gto just do a b25 swap.

If you need a Motronioc harness (and appropriate DME) and 885 head, I will have spares in the very near future.
