    Whining Noise When Cranking

Ever since I bought my 89 325i 5 speed a few weeks ago there has been a small issue that I planned on taking care of at an upcoming tune-up.

The car would take a few cranks before it would fire up.

Now its kinda whining while it cranks, ouch.

I'm dropping it off for service tomorrow, what should I expect?

starter may be on the way out, or a couple of teeth on the flywheel may be bent
