    Cold compression test

I just ran a cold compression test on my m20 and it pretty much read even on all cylinders. What I'm asking is would a cold compression test be able to read a cylinder with worn out piston ring/land? What would the symptoms be?

A worn cylinder or bad rings would show up as significantly lower compression than the other cylinders, whether hot or cold.
The car makes it possible, but the driver makes it happen.
