Engine RPM Depedent Buzz/Vibration/Grind in the steering wheel...

-Very fast vibration/grind/buzz felt in steering wheel between 2400 and 3000 rpms. MORE noticeable on engine braking(most notable on the engine braking). Noticed slightly but not as much under accel.

What am I looking at for this problem? Ignition parts, belts, plugs etc are all new. There are not power issues, bucking or odd running problems at those RPMs. The engine pulls like a train at all RPMs!

*edit* This is in ALL gears but the faster you are going the worse it is. So 5th gear engine braking on the highway is worse than rolling at 10mph...

Trying to work through some issues and upgrading the E30 and want to get them all knocked out and fixed!

bent rims, cupped tires? It cant be brake related since it happens whether you're on the brakes or not. Has to be rotational with vehicle speed, but not engine speed so that points to rims/tires. Also, since it happens worse when you slow down without using the brakes, there is more weight on the front wheels, so that points you to the front two rims/tires. You would probably be able to see the bend in one of the wheels. If you cant, try swapping the fronts and rears and see if it goes from the steering wheel vibrating to your butt vibrating instead (would be moreso on accel probably). Just my 2 cents...

edit... just noticed that is at a specific engine speed... I would check motor mounts/tranny mounts maybe.

Trans mounts are in in box in garage. Building an exhaust since mine is 'stuck' and 'welded' and most of the header bolts will break. So when I rebuild the shifter, replace guibo/CSB I will toss in the trans mounts. Engine mounts are in the mail.
