M42 air box on an M20 in a 318 shell??

Im swapping a M20 into a 318 shell for a customer and I was wondering if you could fit a M42 air box in with the M20?
Pretty much the reason I ask is because the air box brackets on the 318/325 are different for the air box. so I would like to have something thats a direct swap with out chopping shit up..

I would check myself but the 318 didnt come with a motor or anything in it.

edit: im talking about the M40 airbox btw.. im not sure if the M42 has a different one?
